Welcome to the Sonivivah Matrimonial Website ("the Platform"). By registering or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. (Consider this your legally binding agreement to behave.)

1. Eligibility & Intent

• Legal Age: Users must be legally eligible to marry as per the laws applicable in India: 18 years or above for a woman and 21 years or above for a man.
• Community Focus: Membership is specifically for individuals belonging to the Soni Community seeking a lawful matrimonial alliance.
• Bonafide Intent: You confirm that your sole and honest purpose for using this Platform is to find a prospective life partner, not for dating, casual hookups, commercial solicitation, or any other non-matrimonial activity.

2. Registration & Account

• Free Registration: Registration is currently offered free of cost for both grooms and brides. The Platform reserves the right to introduce paid services or features in the future, with due notice.
• True Information: You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information about yourself, including personal details, educational background, family information, and marital status. Providing false or misleading information is grounds for immediate account termination. (Lying about your height is a problem; lying about your divorce status is a lawsuit.)
• Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (username, password) and for all activities that occur under your account. Do not share your password.
• Profile Moderation: All profiles are subject to review and moderation by the Platform. We reserve the right to withhold, suspend, or delete any profile containing inappropriate language, obscene photos, or contact details in public fields.

3. Roles & Limitations of the Platform

• Platform Function: The Platform is an intermediary and a venue for registered members of the Soni community to meet and communicate. We do not act as a marriage bureau, broker, or agent.
• No Guarantee: The Platform does not guarantee a marriage or a positive response from other profiles. We cannot be held liable for the conduct of any user or the outcome of any match.
• Data Verification: The Platform does not conduct background checks, financial checks, or legal verification of any user's claims (marital status, income, criminal history, etc.).
• Member's Responsibility (The Fine Print): You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of the information provided by any other member before proceeding with an alliance. Exercise due caution, conduct your own background checks, and prioritize personal safety when arranging meetings.

4. Prohibited Conduct

Members agree NOT to:

• Harass, stalk, abuse, or engage in any offensive communication with other users.
• Request money, financial assistance, or personal documents (bank details, property papers, etc.) from other members.
• Share personal contact details (phone numbers, email IDs, social media links) in public profile fields.
• Use the Platform for commercial activities, soliciting sales, or promoting other businesses.
• Create more than one profile for the same individual. (We'll catch the duplicate; it never ends well.)

5. Termination

• Right to Terminate: The Platform reserves the right to suspend or terminate your membership immediately and without notice if you breach any of these Terms and Conditions, or if we receive credible complaints about your behavior or intent.
• Member Termination: You may terminate your free membership at any time through the designated account settings.

6. Dispute Resolution & Jurisdiction

• Jurisdiction: Any disputes arising out of these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of India and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
